Summary/Objective

Reporting to Chief People Officer, the Talent Manager is responsible for the full-life cycle of recruiting top talent within the financial services industry—specifically CPAs from public accounting firms, along with campus recruiting, onboarding, training, and new hire orientation, and collaborating effectively with all levels of the Firm.  Additionally, the Talent Manager will assist all CWA affiliate companies with full-cycle recruiting.  This role is pivotal in ensuring the attraction, development, and retention of top talent while fostering a culture of growth, inclusion, and high performance.

Job requirements

Essential Functions

  1. Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, create job postings, and develop sourcing strategies that ensure alignment with Firm goals.

  1. Ensure recruiting practices and Applicant Tracking System workflow/documents comply with federal and state employment laws and regulations

  2. Oversee and execute full-cycle recruitment processes, ensuring the attraction and selection of top-tier talent

  3. Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through networking, job boards, and other innovative sourcing methods

  4. Create and maintain partnerships with colleges and coordinate college campus recruiting events

  5. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership and department heads to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture

  6. Act as a trusted advisor to Associates and managers at all levels of the organization.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Works with department heads to maintain updated job descriptions and update Applicant Tracking System accordingly

  2. Conduct video interviews, evaluate candidates, and make recommendations for next steps in the recruitment process

  3. Ensures background checks are thorough and adhere to internal policy

  1. Partner with members of the HR team on onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless Associate experience

  2. Disposition candidates accordingly and communicate with all candidates in a timely manner

  3. Monitor and analyze recruiting metrics; provide weekly and monthly updates on open requisitions and hiring stats

  4. Conduct new hire orientation sessions to introduce Associates to Firm culture, policies, and processes

  5. In collaboration with the training team, develop and deliver training programs to support Management and Associate development and compliance

  6. Maintain applicant trackers and SharePoint with relevant new hire information

  7. Consistently network with industry experts, colleges, and organizations to further industry knowledge and enhance proactive recruiting strategies

  8. Drive initiatives to enhance attracting and retaining top talent, Associate engagement, and satisfaction

  9. Develop and deliver presentations to various audiences, including campus events and internal meetings.

  10. Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across the Firm.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on talent management, recruitment, and generalist roles.

  • Experience recruiting for roles within the finance and accounting industry required; preferably from large public accounting firms

  • Experience with campus recruiting, onboarding, and training programs

  • Must have a foundational understanding of HR principles, employment laws, and recruiting best practices

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with candidates and across all levels of the Firm

  • Proven ability to develop and implement talent strategies that align with organizational goals.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence others

  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Comfortable making decisions independently

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence required

  • Experience in contract negotiation and the management of third-party vendors required

  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems required; experience with Recruitee, Culture Index, LinkedIn Recruiter, ExponentHR, Monday.com and AppSpace strongly preferred

  • Proven ability to fill multiple roles within the industry average time-to-fill

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; specifically, SharePoint, Teams, EXCEL and PowerPoint

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

  • High level of integrity and confidentiality required

Travel

Occasional local, out-of-town (typically within Texas) and/or overnight travel for recruiting events may be requested periodically throughout the year.

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

 

Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. 

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed based on management’s approval.  An in-office presence 3 days per week is required.  Must have the flexibility to assist in-office additional days per week with minimal notice and attend out-of-town and/or after-hours recruiting/networking events.

 

Compensation

Minimum: $100,000 - Maximum: $115,000

The advertised pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.
