Job description
Reporting to the Head of Valuation, the Senior Valuation Analyst plays a critical role in providing comprehensive financial analysis and valuation services to clients within the dental industry. This position involves analyzing financial statements, tax returns, and other operational data to determine accurate estimates of value for dental practices. The Senior Valuation Analyst will educate clients on industry-standard valuation methods and necessary adjustments tailored to their specific engagements, ensuring they understand the valuation process and outcomes.
Essential Functions
Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and operational data of dental practices to perform comprehensive financial analyses, estimate value, and assess economic performance within the dental industry.
Educate clients on industry-standard valuation methods and specific adjustments, while effectively communicating to gather necessary financial information and respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Develop innovative solutions and approaches to create deliverables that address client questions and provide clear insights through detailed valuation reports and presentations.
Collaborate with team members on financial recommendations and ad-hoc projects while overseeing and mentoring junior staff to ensure high-quality work and professional development within the team.
Responsibilities and Duties
Analyze financials, tax returns and other operational data of dental practice to perform financial analysis and estimates of value
Educate clients on industry standard valuation methods and specific valuation adjustments utilized in client’s engagement
Ability to analyze financial data for trends and anomalies
Develops innovative approaches to produce deliverables that show the solution to a client's questions
Work with our team to make financial recommendation or opinions based on financial analysis performed
Communicate with clients to gather the appropriate financial information
Assessing the economic performance of the clients’ company, the dental industry in order to create a detailed analysis for use in valuation reports and other written work products
Deliver presentations to clients of valuation deliverable and answer questions in a professional succinct manner
Work with team on ad-hoc projects as needed
Respond to client inquiries and questions unassisted in a professional and timely manner
Review of junior staff work and training as applicable

Job requirements
Education and Experience
4+ years of valuation, analysis, or relevant experience required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree strongly preferred
CPA or CVA certification preferred
Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills
Ability to complete projects timely and accurately critical
Self-starter, able to initiate projects as well as successful follow through on project
Above average level of organizational and prioritizing skills
Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed based on management’s approval. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement; 2-3 days in-office presence is required. Additionally, an in-office presence is expected for training, team meetings, or as other business needs dictate.

Compensation
Minimum: $85,000.00 - Maximum: $95,000.00 USD
