Summary/Objective 

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Internal Communications Coordinator is responsible for executing an internal communications strategy that is consistent and reflects the Firm’s strategic vision. The internal voice of CWA, the Internal Communications Coordinator executes internal marketing and communication campaigns utilizing digital, social, and traditional media channels to support the overall HR, marketing, and business goals. 

 

Essential Functions 

  1. Primary contributor to the content design, development and copy for internal communications. Maintains internal website and posts content on behalf of department leaders 

  1. Supports HR, Marketing, and the Executive Leadership team in streamlining internal education programs, processes and plans through various traditional and digital mediums 

  1. Design and deliver the internal communications strategy for the organization working closely with functional leaders across the organization including recommendations for communications channels, schedule, and cadence 

  1. Supports multiple firm-wide marketing and communications programs, campaigns and tactics designed to bring awareness to CWA’s services, methodologies, and capabilities in order to generate new leads 

  1. Responsible for maintaining CWA’s brand standards firm-wide, as well as in collaboration with affiliates and business partners to help enforce overall compliance with style and voice standards 

 

Responsibilities & Duties 

  1. Establish an internal communications strategy in conjunction with senior managers 

  1. Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders. 

  1. Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums such as email communications, leadership communications, intranet, print and events as needed. 

  1. Collaborate with HR to design and implement effective employee education and training programs, while also overseeing post-production editing tasks to ensure high-quality deliverables. Supports employee community moderation, cultural engagement, online meetings and in-person events 

  1. Refine core messaging to ensure organizational consistency in all aspects of communication including development, design organizing and education 

  1. Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization 

  1. Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages 

  1. Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly 

  1. Working with agency partners, vendors, and freelancers

Job requirements

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field from a regionally accredited institution 

  • Minimum 1 year experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or advertising 

  • Must have working business knowledge of traditional, digital, and social media 

  • Strong written and oral communication skills 

  • Ability to edit basic HTML and proficiency using a website content management system (WordPress) 

  • Proficiency in leveraging Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, Microsoft Forms, and other applications (e.g., Teams, Outlook). 

  • Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator and Photoshop 

  • Ability to edit basic video and audio 

  • Experience with email automation tools 

  • Experience with social media platforms including (but not limited to) Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram 

  • Strong attention to detail 

 

Travel 

Limited travel, if any at all. 

 

Work Environment 

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.   

 

Physical Demands 

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.   

 

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work 

This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed based on management’s approval. This is a hybrid role that allows for remote flexibility with an in-office presence at least 1-2 days per week or as business need dictates.

Compensation
Minimum: $21.00 - Maximum: $24.00/hr
