The Data Specialist opening is with Elite Dental Alliance. ELITE is the nation’s largest purchasing platform built for the independent dental practice. From supplies to equipment, software to websites, practice financing to patient financing, and everything in between, ELITE has the right vendors, the right pricing, and the right service. With ELITE’s Advocacy Team, dentists have access to expert guidance to help with making buying decisions, selecting the right vendors, and ensuring practices have everything they need to be successful.
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, we are seeking a skilled and adaptable Operations Analyst to join our growing team. The Data Specialist will initially focus on pulling reports and understanding data usage across various departments, with the potential to evolve into a more structured data management position as we transition our information into a database system.
Key Responsibilities:
Extract, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to create comprehensive reports for different departments
Collaborate with department heads to understand their data needs and usage patterns
Develop and maintain reporting systems to ensure accurate and timely delivery of information
Identify trends, patterns, and insights from data to support decision-making processes
Assist in the planning and implementation of data migration to a centralized database system
Contribute to the design and optimization of data structures as we evolve our data management practices
Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with company policies and regulations
Job requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
2+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting
Proficiency in data extraction and manipulation tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with database management and design
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
Familiarity with ETL processes
Understanding of data governance and security principles

Work Environment
This is an in-office, full-time, non-exempt position. Business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Location and hours will vary based on management decisions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and bend or stand, as necessary.

Compensation
Minimum: $21/Hour - Maximum: $27/Hour
