Summary/Objective

Reporting to the Executive Committee, the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) is responsible for oversight of the New Client Services (NCS) and Marketing departments; specifically developing and executing growth strategies, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring alignment of marketing, sales, and client service initiatives to meet Firm-wide targets and advance our unique value proposition in the market.

 

Essential Functions

  • Develop and lead the Firm’s overall revenue strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals

  • Oversee and optimize the performance of the sales, business development, and marketing teams to drive aggressive growth

  • Identify new market opportunities and work closely with executive leadership to design and implement go-to-market strategies

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with current and prospective clients and partners

  • Collaborate with Financial Planning, Tax, Accounting, and other revenue verticals, Client Success, and/or New Client Services to ensure seamless client onboarding and retention

  • Analyze sales and pipeline data to provide insightful reporting and forecasting to the Executive Committee

  • Establish metrics for revenue performance and create transparent accountability across teams

  • Mentor and develop New Client Services, Marketing and Business Development teams with an emphasis on culture, high performance, and professional growth

  • Represent the Firm at industry events and in strategic client presentations as a brand ambassador protocols for revenue-impacting scenarios

Job requirements

Education & Experience

  • Must obtain Series 65 within the 1st 6 months of employment as a condition of continued employment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in revenue-generating roles, ideally within the financial services or professional services sector

  • Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth and leading high-performing teams

  • Strong strategic vision with exceptional analytical and organizational skills; must maintain knowledge of small business financials and related challenges with the ability to propose solutions

  • Deep understanding of data analysis and technology, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to foster cross-departmental collaboration and deliver results in a client-centric environment

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and professional presentation/public speaking skills required

Travel

Travel is expected to be 15 to 30 nights a year but could change based on developing relationships with vendor and referral partners, dental conferences, and other items that could drive revenue growth.

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. 

 

Physical Demands

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing may be required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. 

 

Position Type & Expected Hours of Work

This is a full exempt position. For the first 6-9 months, an in-office presence is expected 98% of the time.  Normal business hours are 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.  Some flexibility in hours and remote work may be allowed once established in the role.
